Other reasonable options would be overwhelm tactics and defensive tactics. Arcane focus is great because there are a lot of really good battlemages that you'll want to use. Fast recuperation is also a solid option if you don't take mana addicts later.Īs for your mind trait, I really like arcane focus. For your body trait I like keen sighted for an easier time hitting debuffs and quick reflexes to help your battlemages survive against enemy ranged units that you can't cc. Generally you want stuff that increases your survivability, but you also have the problem that you don't really have any factional units that can really tank much in melee, making some bonuses like tough kinda weak. This allows you to do things like reliably chain-freeze or chain-stun even tier 5 units. Not only do their attacks apply weakened, but they have a very long range ability that makes it roughly 50% easier for any debuff to stick. What really ties everything together though is the warlock. Everything in your kit goes towards this theme-Archers apply weakened, your dark warriors deal extra damage against stuff that is weakened, and your dark knights sunder your opponents defenses and have an AOE attack that deals double damage to debuffed enemies. Anyway, let's begin.ĭark culture is about debuffs. For example, spider mounts are great right now, but when/if they get nerfed, I'd rather this not getting immediately dated. This also isn't meant to be definitive-I've definitely not been able to try out everything, and there are definitely discoveries waiting to be made. I've noticed a lot of people struggling to make it work, so I thought I'd try to write a guide to help people out a bit.īefore I begin, I'd like to remark that this isn't meant to be a specific "build this is this order" type of guide, but more of a "here's some reasonable options and why you'd pick them" type of guide. Heya! I've been having a lot of fun playing around dark culture in this game.
